Data Deletion

Last updated: 2026

Ibn e Akram Welfare Foundation (IAWF) lets you ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you, including data received through our WhatsApp and Facebook integrations.

What we hold

Depending on how you interacted with us, this may include your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, messages you sent through our contact form, volunteer or job applications, newsletter subscriptions, and records of notifications we sent you.

How to request deletion

Send us a deletion request through either channel below:

  1. Write "Data deletion request" in the subject or first line.
  2. Include your full name and the email or phone number you used with us, so we can find your records.
  3. We may contact you on that email or number to confirm the request is genuinely yours.

What happens next

Once verified, we delete your personal information from our systems within 30 days and confirm by the same channel you used. After deletion we will no longer send you WhatsApp, SMS, or email notifications.

What we may keep

Donation records may be retained where required for accounting, audit, or legal obligations. These are kept only as long as necessary and are never used for messaging.

This process will be updated as the foundation formalises its processes.
